100% sterling silver and pendant featuring a gorgeous flashy white labradorite with mangenese inclusions. The manganese inclusions are any flecks of black which create dappled effect.
Each component is lovingly handcut, hammered, filed and soldered together to create the perfect home for such a pretty stone.
The labradorites iconic flashing blue is known as labradorescence which appears as a mysterious glow that moves just below the surface of the stone as it catches the light. This mysterious phenomenon is due to the unique crystalline structure of the stone.
There are many legends across northern cultures that the effect is caused by the Auroroa Borealis becoming trapped in the stone and has been thought to aid in meditation and accessing higher realms of consciousness.
