100% sterling silver pendant featuring a deep blue storm cloud pietersite and glowing jelly carnelian.
Each component is lovingly handcut, hammered, filed and soldered together. The design and shape is elegant and paired back, allowing for the pietersite and carnelian to take centre stage.
Pietersite is one of my favourite stones. The depth and complexity of the colours are like few others. Sometimes nicknamed "Tempest Stone" or "Storm Stone" due to the shimering grey cloud like swirls agains the deep blue almost black background.
Subtle flecks of iron oxide in this example of pietersite are accentuated by the glow of the orange carnelian. An eye catching combination.
